Replacing concrete and smog with nature and fresh air to raise the kids amongst was a catalyst for Paul Cousins relocating from Auckland. Wanting to stay in easy distance of the big smoke was also important.
“My wife and I have always wanted to raise kids in a rural setting, being that we are both from small towns ourselves. So with the pending baby en-route, we figured we needed to throw ourselves at the most beautiful place we could find but still be close to Auckland – Tauranga was a no-brainer.”
Having a fantastic job in Auckland working for a fortune 100 company, as well as running an on online business selling action cameras, career progression was a careful consideration for Paul.
“I knew aligning myself with one key supplier in the region would be key, so I worked with Talent ID in order to find the perfect job. They held many of the jobs being offered and it didn’t take long for them to make me feel like a star. I ended up with an account management/sales position with Stratus Blue.
“Talent ID supported me through the recruitment process; all I had to do was trust them to do their job. I am here because of their support and dedication to finding me work and helping me settle in. Tauranga has an amazingly positive vibe and the people are so welcoming.”
