We are seeking a commercially astute and strategic Head of Commercial Property to lead the Group's commercial property function. Reporting directly to the CEO, this senior leadership role is responsible for driving leasing performance, optimising portfolio returns, leading property projects and developments, and enhancing the long-term value of the Group's commercial assets.
This role is ideal for an experienced property professional who thrives on building strong tenant relationships, negotiating commercial outcomes, leading high-performing teams, and contributing to strategic growth initiatives.
Ngā kawenga matua | Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial property strategy and performance of the Group's diverse property portfolio.
- Drive leasing activity, tenant relationships, occupancy, and revenue growth.
- Oversee property projects, developments, and asset enhancement initiatives.
- Manage portfolio budgets, commercial performance, and investment opportunities.
- Provide leadership to the property team while ensuring effective operational oversight and compliance.
We're looking for a property professional with 5-7+ years' experience in commercial property, leasing, asset management, or a similar leadership position. You'll bring strong commercial and financial acumen, proven negotiation skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with tenants, stakeholders, and advisors while driving long-term portfolio performance.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A tertiary qualification in Property, Facilities Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- Proven senior-level experience within commercial property management, leasing, or asset management.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving portfolio performance.
- Demonstrated success in lease negotiation, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- An appreciation of Māori values and a commitment to supporting kaupapa Māori within the workplace.
