Awhi Rōpū Consultants is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to provide hands-on financial support to a diverse portfolio of clients.
Ko wai tātou | Job Overview
You will work directly with clients, managing their day-to-day financial requirements and helping them gain greater confidence and understanding of their financial position. Responsibilities include:
- Bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable
- Payroll processing and PAYE/GST filing
- Monthly journals and management reporting
- Budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and funding accountability reporting
- Supporting year-end processes and audit requirements
- Reviewing bookkeeping work and providing guidance to team members
- Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally within a CA practice or similar environment
- Advanced Xero knowledge and experience with payroll systems
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Knowledge of Power BI would be advantageous
