Temp Financial Services Team Leader - Rotorua

Our client is seeking an experienced Team Leader Financial Services to join their Corporate Services team on a 3-month temporary assignment in Rotorua, with potential to extend or become permanent.

The Role:

You'll coordinate and supervise the Financial Services Centre team, managing workflow across Accounts Payable, Purchase Card and Expense Management, Accounts Receivable, and Credit Control. This includes day-to-day supervision, coordinating work, monitoring workflows, and managing team performance to ensure accurate and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities include implementing financial business improvements, maintaining external system interfaces to FMIS, training and supporting staff across multiple areas, and maintaining appropriate internal controls. You'll provide guidance and coaching to team members while embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

What You'll Need:
  • Knowledge of accounting processes and practices
  • Experience in staff supervision, coaching, and building continuous improvement culture
  • Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level competence in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to manage sensitive information and maintain performance under pressure
  • Proven negotiation and relationship management skills


This role is full-time Monday to Friday with an immediate start.

These roles will be 3 months with the possibility to extend or become permanent.
