Ko te mahi | Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven New Business Consultant to join the NZHL team in our Taupo branch. Reporting to the Operations Manager. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives on networking, building connections, and making a genuine difference in people’s lives through quality financial advice.

You’ll be responsible for generating your own opportunities, as well has ensuring good customer outcomes from company generated enquiries. You will be an integral part of the team approach that NZHL offers you guide clients through the NZHL mortgage advice process, matching lending needs with the right insurance cover to protect what matters most, them, their whānau, and their home.

This is more than a sales role, it’s about developing strong, lasting relationships, supporting clients for the life of their loan, and providing lending and insurance strategies that deliver the best possible outcomes. If you’re a self-starter with a heart for helping people, this could be your next move.

Ngā pūkenga | Key Requirements
  • Relevant experience in the financial services industry
  • Level 5 Core, Strand & RPL
  • Proven networking skills with the ability to build rapport and trust
  • A strong track record in identifying, understanding, and exceeding client needs through effective relationships
  • A proactive listener with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience of sales techniques and procedures
  • A determination to succeed, a passion for helping people, and a willingness to adapt in a fast-changing regulatory environment
