Te Mahi | The Opportunity

We’re looking for a dynamic, commercially savvy Recruitment Specialist to lead our Rotorua branch operations. This is a hands-on leadership role where business development is front and centre, you’ll be the face of Talent ID in the region, actively building new client relationships, identifying opportunities, and driving growth across the businesses activities.

This is a role for someone who thrives on autonomy and takes genuine pride in delivering outstanding service. You’ll manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from winning new business through to candidate placement and ongoing client care – all while contributing to the strategic direction of our business.

Ngā Kawenga | Key Responsibilities
  • Take a strategic approach to business development – proactively identify, pursue, and secure new client partnerships across the region
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities through networking, attendance at regional business events and leveraging industry connections
  • Achieve revenue and profit growth targets through strategic client acquisition and successful candidate placements
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for placements, ensuring quality outcomes and fast turnaround
  • Maintain a high-calibre candidate pool through regular screening, interviewing, and compliance processes
  • Deliver exceptional client service through regular check-ins, feedback collection, and proactive communication
  • Provide general HR consulting support to clients
Mōu | About You

You’re a natural relationship builder with a strong commercial instinct and the drive to grow a business. You’re equally comfortable networking at a business function as you are rolling up your sleeves to get the mahi done. Specifically, you’ll bring:
  • Proven experience in recruitment, business development, or a client-facing commercial role
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into lasting client relationships
  • Self-managing, uses initiative, and thrives working autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Grit and tenacity – you don’t give up and you work well under pressure
  • Commercial nous and an astute understanding of the regional business landscape
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Strong administrative capability and computer literacy
  • A professional, well-presented, and approachable demeanour with genuine authenticity in all your interactions
  • An HR or business-related tertiary qualification is preferable but not essential
  • A friendly, strategic thinker who brings energy and positivity to the team
