Ko wai tātou | Job Overview

Volcanic Air is seeking an experienced Customer Service, Sales & Marketing Co-ordinator to join their dynamic team on a permanent basis, Tuesday through Saturday. Reporting to the Managing Director and CEO, you'll serve as the operational hub of Volcanic Air, supporting front-office operations, coordinating flight logistics, and driving revenue growth through exceptional customer service and strategic relationship building. This role encompasses the complete customer experience from initial inquiry to flight completion, while actively pursuing and expanding sales opportunities through proactive market development, regular sales calls, trade show participation, and strategic partnership engagement. You'll be responsible for optimising passenger loadings, managing bookings, building relationships with accommodation providers and tour operators, and supporting digital marketing initiatives.

Tohu me te wheako | Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous customer service and sales experience along with a relevant tertiary qualification would be preferred
  • Proven experience in tourism industry operations is desirable
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Calendar, and booking systems with an interest in the evolving digital environment (AI) creating data management efficiencies
  • Experience with digital marketing platforms including Meta for Business and Canva
  • Knowledge of cash handling and payment processing systems
  • Previous experience coordinating trade shows or familiarisation trips would be desirable

  • A high standard of personal presentation and confident dealing with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to multi-task effectively under pressure

  • Fun, outgoing personality with flexible approach and strong team collaboration skills
