Pukeroa Oruawhata Group is an Iwi entity based in Rotorua. The Group’s primary business activities are that of property development and on-going property management with over 160 commercial leases and 25 residential tenancies under management. The Group also holds interests in Tourism and is also in the process of developing a Spa complex on the Groups land at the Rotorua Lakefront.
Reporting to the Groups Chief Executive Officer, this role will be responsible for the Accounts Payable functions of the Group. The role works closely with the Property Management Team, Accounts Receivable and external suppliers as necessary.
Key responsibilities of the role include;
- Monitor and process and coding of daily creditor invoices
- Liaising with the Property team regarding accounts due for payment
- Allocation and processing of invoices for opex and outgoings/on-charges
- Correspond with Vendors /Creditors
- Reconcile AP aged report balances
- Prepare payments batches
- Assist with monthly reconciliations / month end closing
- Other administration tasks as may be required
We are ideally looking for someone who has proven experience in both administration and accounting functions, ideally specifically within accounts payable and / or the property sector would be advantageous.
Excellent computer literacy is a must, including the use and knowledge of accounting software such as Xero. Key skills include being organised and methodical, possessing excellent time management, and being numerically literate. You’ll be able to prioritise your time well, be an excellent communicator, along with having the ability to build and maintain key relationships.
