After a 14 year career travelling the country and overseas with the RNZAF, the move to re-unite with family and friends back home in Rotorua has been a good one for John Harrison.
Proximity to family, better house prices and a dream role within the private sector all played into the decision.
John contacted the Talent ID team via Seek, after seeing a job advertised at Rotorua Airport.
“I must say I didn’t think I’d have a chance given I had worked so long in the public sector, but Kellie encouraged me to apply and now I’m stoked that I threw my hat in the ring.”
John interviewed initially via Skype, then face to face prior to accepting the position of Fire and Operations Manager.
“Kellie kept me continually updated on the progress of my application, taking the stress out of what was a big move for my young family and me. There’s no looking back for us now – my wife and daughter are settled, we are loving more time to relax at the Lakes and we’re all looking forward to the arrival of baby number two!”
