As the gateway to the Bay of Plenty Region, for both business and tourism purposes, the Rotorua Airport is a business hub for many local tourist attractions and service functions, and acts as a pivotal component in the infrastructure of our local economy.
The Rotorua Airport offers a busy and dynamic environment with a number of key priority projects planned for implementation over the next five-year period. This is a new and pivotal role within the Rotorua Airport structure as the Airport moves into this key phase of development. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, whilst working closely with the both the Board and management team, essentially key responsibilities of this role are the effective and high-level planning and administrative support across a broad range of key priorities.
Key aspects of the role include;
- Attendance, support and preparation of the Board, packs, capturing key points and actions of Board meetings, sub-committee meetings and post meeting follow-up support
- Building meeting agenda’s and follow up on key action points
- Adopting a structured, planned and organised approach to Board meetings throughout the year
- Provision of administration and project support to departmental Managers
- Provision of support for key marketing, operations and strategic business initiatives
Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated high level of administrative experience, and will have worked within high-performing corporate and/or governance environments and have a key understanding of what is required in a Board setting. You’ll have a highly personable style, be creative, energetic and highly organised. Experience using either Board Pro software or a similar package would be advantageous. A key aspect of this role will also include having the ability to assist with streamlining systems and processes, and helping the Airport’s management team with not only key projects but in working more efficiently. We require a candidate who has the ability to power through work, ensure that key tasks are completed and takes a proactive, solution orientated approach.
It is expected the role will be required for around 20 hours per week, noting flexibility will be required to ensure attendance at Board meetings.
