SEEK Awards Winners

Talent ID Recruitment has won the SEEK 2016 Small Recruitment Agency Award, beating out two Auckland firms in the finals.

"It's an amazing accolade to be judged as best in your category when you're up against agencies from around the country," said director Kellie Hamlett, who accepted the award with her team at last week's SEEK Annual Recruitment Awards in Auckland.

Established in 2007, Talent ID has offices in Rotorua and Tauranga.

"It was a huge thrill for myself and the team and great to be recognised amongst our peers nationwide," Ms Hamlett said.

"And it just shows the Bay of Plenty is really on point at the moment in terms of what is happening in recruitment, jobs and people moving into the region."

From the beginning, the firm had emphasised the uniqueness of the Bay's requirements, said Ms Hamlett. The firm has a national database of screened and job-ready candidates, and uses local connections to attract new talent to the region, she said.

"The commitment to excellence every day is what sets my team apart. I am so proud that we have been acknowledged for doing what we love - exceeding our clients' and candidates' expectations in everything we do."

Catherine Brown, lead consultant in the Tauranga office, said it was one thing to place a candidate into a role. "It's quite another to understand a business like it's your own and find that perfect person who fits the team and the culture. We take a 360 degree approach so have the confidence to offer a 100 per cent guarantee with every placement."

The SEEK awards celebrate innovation and excellence and recognise the country's best agencies and individuals across small, medium and large players.

Ms Hamlett, who is on the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce board and is a former Rotorua Chamber board member, was also a judge at the recent Westpac Tauranga Business Awards. She said the agency's focus for next year was to continue adding value for clients.
